Second release of an open source cross-modal diagram editing tool

Source: CCmI Project Website, 27 April 2012

How might you listen to a diagram, feel the touch of sounds, and work with others when using different senses? These are some of the questions that we have been exploring in the Collaborative Cross-modal Interfaces project (CCmI).

CCmI investigates how to support collaboration between visually-impaired and sighted users in the workplace.

The second release of the CCmI Diagram Editor is now out. This release support the construction and editing of nodes-and-links diagrams using a visual, audio, and now haptic interface through the PHANTOM Omni® Haptic device.

The software is released under the GNU General Public License. You are welcome to download it, run it, modify it, and share it with your friends and colleagues, free of charge.
